Episode 2 Script

Hello and welcome to another exciting season of AMP. I’m Jeffrey. AMP stands for Arlington Middle-School Producers. Middle school students come to the Arlington Studio to learn all the steps of producing a TV show: camerawork, hosting, directing, editing, and more. After students learn all the different positions, they use their knowledge to make their own news magazine program, with a new show each week.

At the Regent Theater from the 18th to the 20th of December The ULTRASONIC ROCK ORCHESTRA will be holding a series of concerts the group, consisting of 20 incredible musicians and singers will be presenting three evenings of songs from the most decadent and glitter-crazed era of rock 'n' roll. The ULTRASONIC ROCK ORCHESTRA brings the often heard but rarely performed crown jewels of classic rock to vivid life: Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" & "Somebody To Love," The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again," David Bowie’s "Ziggy Stardust," The Beatles’ "Abbey Road" - and many more, so don’t miss this great event!

In news in technology this week, Nokia has recalled 14 million cell phone chargers produced by third-party companies. They have stated it’s for a safety issue, although nobody has been injured yet. Supposedly the covers on the chargers are loose and could potentially give someone a nasty electric shot if they slipped and revealed the internal components. Nokia is holding an exchange program for the recalled chargers, AC -3U, AC-3E and AC-4U. If you have one of these, you can visit chargerexchange.nokia.com for a safer replacement.

And now it’s time for the iPhone app review. Today we are going to take a close look at the music based game Tap Tap Revenge 3. Tap Tap 3 has a completely redesigned inter face. When you first open the game there’s a rounded menu (Bring up pic #1) with selections like 1 player, 2 player, online, and more. Tap Tap 3 comes with 3 or 4 tracks. If you want more you can always go to the Tap Tap store (bring up pic #2.) In the Tap Tap store you can go to the avatar store and buy clothes for your avatar or you can go to the Tap Track Store. In the Tap Track Store you can buy track packs of 2 tracks for $1 or a 6 pack bundle or “mini album” for $2.99. The paid tracks are always themed meaning they don’t look like the classic Tap Tap. There are also free tracks, some of them themed, others not. When you tap the 1 player button it will come up with a list of your tracks. Tap on one of the track titles and start taping every ball that comes toward you. Tap Revenge 3 costs the low $1 plus tracks so enjoy and tap reasonably.

The baseball playoffs are always exciting, and the 2009 postseason was no different. The American League teams that made it were the New York Yankees, the Minnesota Twins, the Los Angeles Angels, and the Boston Red Sox. The National League teams that made the cut were the Los Angeles Dodgers, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Colorado Rockies. In the American League Division Series, the Angels swept the Red Sox in three games, and the Twins fell in three straight games to the Yankees. In the National League Division Series, the Dodgers completed a three game sweep of the Cardinalsand the Phillies beat the Rockies 3 games to 1. In the American League Championship Series, the Yankees played the Angels. It was a six game battle, but the Yankees emerged victorious. In the National League Championship Series, the Phillies played the Dodgers. The Phillies won 4 of the 5 games played, and therefore won the sereis. In the Fall Classic, the match-up was Phillies vs. Yankees. In six games the Yankees beat the Phillies, and won their first World series in 9 years.

And now it's time for the Top Five, when we interview Ottoson Middle School students about their favorite and least favorite things. This week's topic is Styles of music. There was a wide selection of styles! In number five we have Alternative… Metal, including hard rock and death metal, is number four… Number three is the increasingly popular Rap... Pop takes number two by a considerable amount of votes... But by far, almost a MAJORITY of votes went to Rock. Both the classical and the new styles are included.

Well that’s all we have for you today. All of us here at AMP would like to thank you for watching. I’m Ben. Make sure you join us again next week to get tuned in and amped up.
